Why this blog
Promoting the historical importance of cemeteries, grave markers, and the family history to be learned from a study of burial customs, burying grounds, and tombstones.
Hi Chuck, do you have any records on the Simpson-Ressler Cemetery in Johnson Twp, about 7 miles southeast of Taylorville? My great-grandmother Margaret Logsdon (Josephus) Durbin is buried there. The cemetery is on private land where I grew up near the one-room Meader School. Thanks for any information on reclaiming this sadly neglected cemetery. Shirley Harris, Springfield
